What size watch should a man wear?

Case diameter should roughly suit your wrist. Under 6.5 inches, 36mm to 39mm sits best. Between 6.5 and 7.5 inches, 39mm to 42mm. Above that, 42mm and up works. Lug to lug distance affects fit as much as diameter does.

Should I buy new or pre-owned?

Pre-owned means no waitlist and a price set by the market rather than by allocation. For popular references it's often the only realistic route. Condition varies, which is why we photograph actual wear rather than hide it.

How do you check a watch is genuine?

Our head watchmaker, Paul Bogard, trained for a decade in the Swiss watchmaking tradition across London and France. Movement, case, dial and serial numbers are verified before anything is listed.

Do you service what you sell?

Yes, onsite on Jewelers' Row rather than shipped to a third party bench. Full overhauls involve stripping the movement, inspecting components under magnification, cleaning, replacing worn parts, re-lubricating to factory specification and testing for timing and water resistance.

Do the watches come with box and papers?

Stated on every listing. It affects resale value, so we don't leave it vague.
